Personally I don't want anything automatically updated for the PS3, unless I can program it like my DVR. Games might be cool, but not updates.
Microsoft is the go to guys for developing communities over a network as expansive as LIVE. Sony will always be playing a game of catch up on that front.

Not just cookies and brownies, Gabe gets happy over open computing systems, or whatever. He was all golly gee about the topic in a interview a few weeks ago. I always said that Sony and Microsoft switched places (with some exceptions) this year. LIVE is a closed system, while PSN is quite open. Steam is naturally exclusive to the PS3 and Valve strategically support open computer systems.

I wasn't even interested in any type of DS, but a Metal Gear Solid game will sell me on any system. Metal Gear comes back to Nintendo, cool except for my pocket book. I'll probably buy the system and give it to my nephews after playing Kojima's 3DS game.
